Oscar Giunta, central name of the Argentine popular music of the last decades, is a singular artist who could well be considered a “jazz musician”, although his artistic universe invites us to visit several possible worlds.
The artist, a referential drummer, has an extensive career of more than 35 years, in which he has performed concerts, tours and recordings at an international level with Wayne Shorter Quartet, John Patitucci, Herbie Hancock, Danilo Perez, Dave Holland, Dave Liebman, Paquito De Rivera, Miguel Zenón, Eddie Daniels, Philip Catherine, Billy Cobham, Lalo Schiffrin… and the list is endless.
Oscar Giunta today leads for 8 years the OSCAR GIUNTA Supertrio! – OGSt! with whom he has just launched his album “Apaláp!” in 2020. recorded in New York, as part of their latest tour of the USA, and published by www.clubdeldisco.com
OSCAR GIUNTA Supertrio! is integrated by Flavio Romero on the double bass and Hernán Jacinto on the piano, two of the main musicians of the Argentinean scene.
